Afternoon guys, it’s your unfriendly neighborhood admin here. Before I open signups, I thought I’d note the changes for Season 2 in one document for easy reading, along with some responses to some submitted comments from the poll last week.
Split divisions are staying
Per the poll, the split was overwhelmingly positive, and we’ve got some additional improvements coming along that’ll (probably) make it work even better.
Upper Division will be Mondays, Lower Division will continue to play on Wednesdays
Fortunately, the majority of players are capable of playing on both days, and I’ll be allowing players within a middle MMR band (about 2.5–3.5k) to specifically sign up for either division, which should solve most problems. Higher preference for Wednesday across the board, which isn’t really surprising. I ended up splitting the play dates this way because Monday works better for a slightly higher percentage of previous Upper Division players (probably because of MD2L/RD2L Mini).

Two different days should mean there’s a bit more interaction, which should help. Plus, like, at the end of the day one single division isn’t really much different than RD2L, you can always play there.
I definitely wanna double down on making sure people are doing this (LOOKING AT YOU NICK), it seems like a good number of people had a positive experience with it (a lot of comments mentioned it), and at the very least no one had a bad one.
Kindly let me know about situations like this instead of waiting until AFTER THE SEASON

Sometimes people have unusually shitty circumstances come up during these leagues, but if anyone is missing a large number of games (particularly without a good reason) I’d like to know about it

For real who wants to join my Learn Destiny 2 League?
The fact is, the only timeslot that really works for these leagues is 6 PST/9 EST, unless its regional. As a reminder, anyone can reschedule their games to whatever time works best, I don’t really care
It’s always an experience I’m working on trying to improve. Like season 0, I’d say most issues are like 50% coaches losing interest, 50% players not putting in any effort. As a player, it’s YOUR responsibility to engage with your coach. Outside of watching games, I got asked literally like 5 questions the entire season, and went over I think 2 replays, one of which wasn’t even from someone on my team.
Only 1? You can easily fit like 4–5. Clown car that shit up.
